DMPK and Degradation Metabolite Production
using Microbial Biotransformation

Hypha Discovery produces mammalian and agrochemical (microbial) metabolites for the pharmaceutical and agrochemical sectors. Through feeding parent experimental drugs or agrochemicals to fermentations of our proprietary panels of microorganisms, it is possible to mimic and scale up the metabolism that occurs in biological systems.



The anticancer drug Gleevec (imatinib) forms metabolites during therapy, the N-demethyl metabolite being the most prominent. Our front-line screening panel of 12 organisms not only produces the most important metabolites, but also those that are present in lower concentration or not previously described.
